Night hikes in Penas Blancas are undoubtedly one of the most thrilling experiences I’ve ever had. These Red Eyed Tree frogs (Agalychnis callidryas) and Fleischmann’s Glass frogs (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni) are everywhere! Fer-de-lances, hawk moth caterpillars, and a host of magnificent creatures abound as well; the night rain really animates this place.
