Today a whole bunch of us visited a Sloth Sanctuary in Monteverde. It was a bit of a trek, and a bit of a pricetag, but worth it nonetheless! We got to watch this adorable video called the Sloth Ballet, learn some of the really intriguing biology behind them, and then got to meet the sloths themselves! Pretty much loafs of preciousness.

While we were there ogling at them (both two-toed and three-toed varieties!), one of the sloths (Romeo, I believe) defecated a cascade of perfectly round, earth-brown pellets. Since they only defecate about once a week, we are pretty fortunate folks.
